These are used in a canvas tent whilst camping in France at 37c in day and around 24c at night the breeze makes all the difference to sleep comfort. On lowest setting 1 of 3 they are virtually totally silent. This is my second one and it is slightly noisier than the first one I bought. Would only need setting 2 at most for sleeping, bought 2 so could cover 3 of use across a larger space and for when home in 2 different bedrooms. Setting one will easily last a few nights on one charge, setting 3 (highest) will last a full night only. I have attached power banks to them whilst camping in tents to extend the life which works well. Do not use the light function (it is good though but it is a very LED white light, I prefer soft yellow ambient light when camping). Not used the power bank function as only use for the fan which is excellent. The stand unscrews to pack down very compact, would be fine for hot weather backpacking for the odd night or 2 off grid. I think the stand could be improved by making it taller, because if used next to you sleeping on the floor the first person stops the breeze so you need to stack stuff up underneath it to get better coverage further away. But as it has one of those universal screw in holes found on all cameras you could swap out for another taller camera stand if you so wished. I also bought a camera clamp so I could attach it to parts of my camper van which also works well. You can find these on ebay and amazon for around £10-13. Adds more places you can attach it.
