Good to have and used it so far on my base ball hat as a head torch.
Excellent little torch, used mainly for walking the dog, it's pitch black here at night.

The TIP Clip is very nice and allows attaching the TIP to a belt loop for easy hands-free lighting. (:

Description
The Nitecore TIP Clip is an additional accessory to upgrade the Nitecore TIP or TIP CRI to a 2017 version. The Clip provides extra functionality as it can be attached for safe securing, such as to belts, belt loops, pockets or a hat bill.
The TIP Clip also features as a battery protector and simply slips onto the keyring light.
